Collateral Management Paradigm
Collateral Management Paradigm
The interaction of numerous European Union (EU) regulatory frameworks, such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), the Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR), Basel III (Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV)), and the Securities Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR), have ushered in a regulatory storm that seems to have caused havoc within the banking and financial services industries.
In order to weather the regulatory storm, banking and financial services firms must operationally and strategically re-evaluate their collateral management operations and strategies with a view to implementing long-term efficiency. Given the complexity and interaction of modern regulatory frameworks, this is far from an easy task. This training programme has been specifically designed to enable attendees to address the broad range of collateral management challenges that many firms face today.
The optimisation, allocation and transmission of collateral are now mandatory strategic considerations that firms must implement in order to achieve collateral management efficiency and operational efficiency.
