ABOUT

The ‘Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds’ Training Programme has been carefully designed and produced in order to provide all attendees with a highly comprehensive understanding of the development of Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds around the world. The Training Programme is split across two days in order to allow attendees to choose which areas are most apposite for them.

PART II of the Training Programme will cover a review of operational processes relating to Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds, including a discussion of each individual process, Green Label Providers and external verification by third party institutions. It will also cover practical analysis of a range of practical case studies, including a case study review of historical issuances of Green Bonds, issuances of Green Bonds in innovative new areas, commentary on the state of global development of Sovereign Green Bonds, and discussions relating to a number of operational case studies.

SESSION 1: The GSSB Operational Process – PART I

·    GBP and SBP Pillars:

·    Green Label Providers (CBI (Certification); CICERO (Shades of Green); LuxFLAG (Green Bond Label); Moody’s (Green Bonds Assessment); S&P Ratings (Green Evaluations)); External Verification (Sustainalytics Second Party Opinion).

·    Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) Reports (State of the Market; Quarterly Highlights; Regional; Country-Specific); Green Taxonomy; CBI Climate Bonds Standard (V2.1); CBI Climate Bonds Certification Scheme.

 

SESSION 3: GSSB Practical Case Studies – PART I

·     Historical Issuances: (1) Starbucks $500 Million Sustainability Bond (Coffee Supply Chain Management) (May, 2016); (2) New York City Housing Development Corporation $590 Million Sustainable Neighbourhood Bonds (June, 2016); (3) BNG €1 Billion Social Bond (Sustainable Housing Associations) (July, 2016).

·     Operational Case Studies: (1) London Green Fund; (2) The Green Deal Finance Company; (3) UK Commercial bank ESG Bond; (4) the Amundi Planet Emerging Green One (EGO) Fund.

 

EXPERT TRAINER

Rodrigo Zepeda is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Storm-7 Consulting. He is an expert consultant who specialises in derivatives and banking and financial services law, regulation, and compliance. He is an expert in a very broad range of regulatory compliance frameworks such as FATCA, the OECD CRS, MiFID II, MAD 2 MAR, PSD2, CRD IV, Solvency II, OTC Derivatives, CCP Clearing, PRIIPs, BRRD, AML4, and the GDPR.
