ABOUT
The ‘Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds’ Training Programme has been carefully designed and produced in order to provide all attendees with a highly comprehensive understanding of the development of Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds around the world. The Training Programme is split across two days in order to allow attendees to choose which areas are most apposite for them.
PART I of the Training Programme will cover a range of different areas pertaining to impact investing and fixed income markets, including definitions, characteristics, and global market distributions. It will also cover the operational framework relating to Green, Social, and Sustainable Bonds, including coverage of areas such as operational processes, due diligence, ratings and credit ratings agencies, measurement and reporting, Key Performance Indicators, and roadshows.

SESSION 1: An Introduction to Impact Investing in Fixed Income Markets – PART I
· The Paris Agreement and The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs); an Introduction to Green, Social, and Sustainable Bond (GSSB) Markets; Comparative Market Sizes; Global GSSB Regional Distributions; Underlying Driving Factors (Sustainability; Climate Change Risks; Sustainable Development Agenda).
· Definitions and Intrinsic Characteristics (Green Bond Markets; Social Bond Markets; Sustainable Bond Markets).
SESSION 2: An Introduction to Impact Investing in Fixed Income Markets – PART II
· International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Green Bond Principles (GBP); Social Bond Principles (SBP); Four Pillars; and Sustainability Bond Guidelines (SBG).
· European Commission ‘Green’ Taxonomy; Green Infrastructure Pipeline.
SESSION 3: The GSSB Operational Framework – PART I
· The Principles of Responsible Investment and Sustainable Finance; Environmental and Social Risk Analysis; the Benefits of Investing in GSSBs; Institutional Investors (Pension Funds; Insurance; Sovereign Wealth Funds) and the use of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Investment Strategies and Policies.
· Pre-Issue Assessment (Sustainability Strategy; Issuance Business Case); Investor Criteria (Rating; Tenor; Yield; Geographic Diversity); Project Selection Criteria; Due Diligence (Environmental; Social; Governance).
SESSION 4: The GSSB Operational Framework – PART II
· Measurement and Reporting Framework; Impact Assessment; Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Governance and Internal Management Framework.
· Information Memorandums; Roadshows; Credit Rating Agencies and Investment Grade Credit Ratings; Capital Markets Launch; Eligibility Verification; Process and KPIs Assurance.
EXPERT TRAINER
Rodrigo Zepeda is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Storm-7 Consulting. He is an expert consultant who specialises in derivatives and banking and financial services law, regulation, and compliance. He is an expert in a very broad range of regulatory compliance frameworks such as FATCA, the OECD CRS, MiFID II, MAD 2 MAR, PSD2, CRD IV, Solvency II, OTC Derivatives, CCP Clearing, PRIIPs, BRRD, AML4, and the GDPR. He holds a LLB degree, a LLM Masters degree in International and Comparative Business Law, and has passed the New York Bar Examination.
