ABOUT THIS MASTERCLASS
Being able to deliver powerful and impactful public presentations is an extremely valuable and beneficial skill that often requires a great deal of time and effort to master. Indeed, even the best public speakers are continually seeking to improve and augment their public speaking and presenting skill sets. This intermediate to advanced level Advanced Public Speaking and Presentations Masterclass has been specifically designed to equip attendees with all the theoretical and technical skills and knowledge that they require in order to be able to successfully deliver powerful and persuasive public presentations.
On Day 1 the Masterclass carefully guides attendees through the psychology of public speaking; posture, breathing and relaxation; and understanding and addressing manifestations of anxiety. In addition, the Masterclass will cover a very broad and comprehensive range of presentation skills such as how to effectively use stories, anecdotes, and case studies; how to create and deliver memorable, powerful, and persuasive stories; how to develop a more persuasive and charismatic speaking style; understanding and leveraging body language; and handling difficult questions.
The Masterclass utilises a highly unique blend of simulations, workshops, and applied learning to allow the attendees to effectively learn how to developed advanced presentation tools and technique. In order to command the audience's attention, attendees will be required to learn all facets relating to public speaking and presentations. That is precisely why the Masterclass breaks down all the most relevant areas into individual components so that attendees can clearly and logically understand how to be a successful presenter.
On Day 2 Masterclass attendees will be able to put everything they have learned into practice. Each attendee will be required to deliver two presentations in front of the Masterclass Panel. They will be videoed and provided with critique and feedback of their presentations. Each attendee will be assigned a Masterclass Panel Member who will provide individual performance coaching to the allotted attendee. These highly interactive workshops will allow attendees to be provided with constructive feedback so that they can learn in a safe and engaging environment.

MASTERCLASS PROGRAMME
DAY 2
DAY 1
SESSION 6: Attendee Presentations Round 1
· Each attendee will present their first 10-minute presentation to the Masterclass Group and the Masterclass Panel.
· The Masterclass Panel Member assigned to the attendee will provide primary analysis and feedback on the attendee's presentation.
· Following on from that the remaining Masterclass Panel Members will provide secondary analysis and feedback to the attendee.
SESSION 7: Attendee Presentations Round 2
· Each attendee will present their second 10-minute presentation to the Masterclass Group and the Masterclass Panel.
· The Masterclass Panel Member assigned to the attendee will provide primary analysis and feedback on the attendee's presentation.
· Following on from that the remaining Masterclass Panel Members will provide secondary analysis and feedback to the attendee.
SESSION 8: End of Day Attendee Matrix Ranking
· At the end of Day 2, all attendees will be individually ranked in a one-on-one session with their allocated Masterclass Panel Member.
· The Masterclass Panel Member will populate a Presentation Masterclass Matrix© which ranks each attendee's performance in a particular skill.
· The attendee will then be allocated an overall grading for all the presentation skills listed, and this will allow the attendee to precisely identify areas which the attendee can focus on improving in the future.
SESSION 1: Preparing for Public Speaking and Presentations
· Fear, Nerves, Anticipation of Speaking; Dealing with a Fight-Flight Reaction; Nerves and Body Language; Speaking Support Props; Dealing with Public Speaking Nerves and Anxiety and Improving your Confidence.
· Mental Preparation; Visualisation Techniques; Relaxation Techniques; Prior Practice; Dressing for Confidence; Delivering with Passion; Types and Uses of Speech (Information, Persuasive, Emotional).
· First Impressions; Engaging with the Audience Visually (Delivery Style, Visual Impact, Body Language); Benchmarking Nervousness; Benchmarking Your Delivery Style; Self-Evaluation Techniques.
SESSION 2: Presentation Skills I
· The Essentials of Effective Presentation (Researching Your Presentation; Clarity, Structure, Revision, Timing, Initial Impact, Capturing and Holding Attention, Anticipating Questions, Audience Needs Analysis, Audience Focus, Surroundings Analysis, Technology Analysis).
· Body Language (Non-Verbal Clues, Arm Signals, Leg Signals, Eye Signals, Body Posture, Scanning the Audience, Putting People at Ease, Engaging the Audience, Re-Engaging the Audience).
· Presenting and Charisma (Affability (Ability to Get On With People, Smiling, Making People Comfortable, Emotional Intelligence) and Influence (Presence, Ability to Influence, Ability to Lead)).
SESSION 3: Presentation Skills II
· Crafting Your Message (Words, Logic, Structure, Rhetoric, Signposting, Use of Notes, Index Cards, Props, Memory Techniques).
· Communicating with Power and Persuasion (Performance, Posture, Building Rapport, Gestures, Pitch, Projection, Provocative Questions, Two-Way Dialogue, Humour, Handling Difficult Questions, Ending a Presentation).
· Storytelling (Using Anecdotes, Crafting Compelling Stories, Use of Metaphors, Enthusiasm, Conviction and Belief, Passion).
SESSION 4: TED Talk Storytelling
· What is a TED Talk? TED Talk's Mission; The TED Commandments; TED Talks in Practice; Essential TED Talk skills; What makes TED Talk stories powerful? The Psychology of TED Talks.
· TED Talks Elements (Compelling; Control; Dialogue; Emotion; Knowledge; Timing) and Example TED Talk Case Studies with the Lessons Learned summarised for attendees.
· Carmine Gall's 9 TED Talk Speaking Secrets; Emotional (Passionate Communication Reaching Your Head and Touching Your Heart); Novel (Capturing a Person's Attention); Memorable (Timing; Vivid, Multisensory Experiences).
SESSION 5: End of Day Presentation Review and Personal Critiques
· Each attendee will have their Round 1 Presentation and Round 2 Presentation critically reviewed by their individually assigned Masterclass Panel Member.
· The Masterclass Panel Member will review the attendee's Presentations and provide critical feedback in order to help the attendee to improve the content and delivery of the Round 1 and Round 2 Presentations prior to final delivery.
The Masterclass Requirements:
· The Masterclass is limited to eight attendees only.
· Attendees should have some experience of public speaking and delivering presentations prior to attending the Masterclass.
· Attendees will be asked to prepare two PowerPoint presentations on two topics of their choosing prior to attending the Masterclass. Each presentation should be between 8-10 minutes in length.
The Masterclass Panel
· The Masterclass Panel consists of four Masterclass Panel Members from Storm-7 Consulting. Each Masterclass Panel Member brings a wealth of practical experience to the Panel in order to assist attendees throughout the Masterclass.
· Each Masterclass Panel Member will be personally assigned two attendees in order to provide highly personalised services throughout the duration of the Masterclass.
· The Masterclass Panel Members will be on hand to provide practical support and reassurance to the attendees, as well as critiquing the attendees' presentations in order to improve them and the performance of each attendee.
· The Masterclass Panel Member will also be able to answer questions and follow up with the attendee following on from the event should the attendee wish to sign up to Part II of the Masterclass.
EXPERT TRAINER
Rodrigo Zepeda is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Storm-7 Consulting. He is an expert consultant who specialises in derivatives and banking and financial services law, regulation, and compliance.
