Magnus Almqvist

Magnus Almqvist is a surveillance and compliance domain expert in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions employed by SunGard. He is currently a senior product specialist for Protegent, SunGard's compliance business for the capital markets. He is responsible for pre-sales of the Protegent compliance platform solutions in EMEA. He also provides expertise on the surveillance and supervision of financial markets in EMEA. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and has amassed over 15 years' of professional expertise in the financial technology markets. Mr. Almqvist was previously an account manager at Nasdaq OMX, responsible for trading and clearing systems for exchanges, the Head of IT at EDX London (a London Stock Exchange Company), and a general manager and senior account manager at the SMARTS Group based in London, where he was responsible for pre sales and sales of market surveillance solutions for exchanges and financial regulators.
